Kaudi कौडि, the Hindi word for the shell, abundant in the Indian Ocean. These infinity hoops are strung with Cowry shells on a twisted wire bail.

Materials

14k gold fill and natural cowry shells.

We source our Cowry shells from vintage African textiles. Their natural characteristics mean that they are each unique in their color, shape, and size. In creating a pair of earrings, we are conscious to maintain relative visual continuity in form and size.

Measurements

Hoops measure 38.5 mm in diameter. Cowry shell charms measure ~2.5 cm long.
