Our goal when designing is to create timeless and durable pieces, while fulfilling a creative expression that feels authentic to the wearer.
We have paused custom projects to focus on the 2026 holiday season. Custom inquiries will be responded to in January 2027.
Our Process
While a custom ring starts with one of our signature designs, a bespoke piece is designed entirely for you from a blank slate. We work intimately with you through this process and lend our expertise to your ideas.
An initial consultation is scheduled, via remote conference or in our studio, to discuss your ideas. To begin this process we recommend filling out a Project Request Form and collecting inspiration images to help explain your goals.
We will provide a document for your review outlining your project's estimated pricing and timeline. A deposit payment is also collected. Then we are ready to begin production!
You'll have the option to review several stones hand selected by us to suit your design. We work with sustainable sources for ethically mined stones, lab grown diamonds, or your heirloom stones.
Our studio will build a ring model, either with hand-carved wax or computer-aided drafting. This model is built around your exact stone's specifications to ensure a perfect fit and cohesive design. We work closely with you to identify your preferences and translate them into a design that suits your lifestyle and aesthetics.
Once you have approved your model, we review your metal alloy options. Your model is transferred to one of our trusted New England casting houses, where it is cast into the alloy of your choice in the centuries-old lost wax casting technique.
When your casting arrives in our studio, we inspect it closely to perfect any small flaws or sizing issues. Founder and goldsmith Molly Conant sets the stone and gets the ring ready for you with a polished or satin finish.
Once your ring is finished, we will snap some photos of it in our studio and let you know it's done! Your final invoice is sent, and then it's proposal time.
