Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit or cancel my order?

If you have any edits to your order, please email us as soon as possible.

Order cancellations are possible until we fulfill the order; you can do this from your customer account here.

We are a small team, and order adjustments such as changing your shipping address or delivery method complicate our procedures. We can't guarantee any modifications to your original order, but will try our best!

When will my order ship?

Web orders placed before 5 PM during our open hours (Wednesday to Saturday) typically ship within one to two business days if the items are in stock.

Some items are made to order or out of stock. In these cases, the "Add to cart" button is replaced with an "Order" button. The estimated production time is displayed under the "Order" button and in your cart.

What's your return policy?

Our goal is for you to love your jewelry. We accept pre-approved returns of unworn jewelry initiated within 7 days of fulfillment for a refund (minus a small restocking fee), or within 14 days for store credit.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs (usually around $5).

We encourage you to review our full return policy here.

Exceptions

Items purchased at a discount are only eligible to exchange for store credit.

Please note that these pieces are not eligible for return:

  • vintage clothing and accessories
  • apothecary items (fragrances, candles)
  • custom pieces, including engraving
  • ceremonial rings
  • any item labelled “FINAL SALE”
Do you offer a warranty or repair services?

Our jewelry is designed for longevity, but well-loved pieces can experience wear and tear. We happily offer repair services on all of our jewelry as part of our sustainability goals.

Any repair costs resulting from a production defect within three months of purchase will be covered by Rackk & Ruin. The warranty is extended to one year for ceremonial rings.

Damage that occurs outside of warranty is repaired at cost and charged to the customer. In the rare cases where a piece cannot be repaired, we will explain why and offer alternative options.

Please request a repair here.

We do not currently offer repair services on jewelry purchased elsewhere and are happy to recommend other local options.

What is 'R&R Sourced?'

'R&R Sourced' refers to pieces that we source from reputable jewelry suppliers, many of which are based in the USA, rather than manufacturing them in our studio. We stand by the quality and craftsmanship of these items, and they are eligible for our lifetime repair service, just like our studio-made jewelry.

As a small team, this approach allows us to expand our offerings while keeping prices accessible for our customers. We are committed to transparency in our sourcing practices, so please don’t hesitate to reach out via email if you have any questions!

Can you adjust the fit of a ring/bracelet/necklace?

As a small team, we encourage customers to get properly fitted at our studio (or their local jewelry store) before ordering rings.

Ring resizing costs between $40 and $85, while custom chain lengths or adjustments are priced at $20. Please note that while we cannot extend the length of vintage chains, we'll likely be able to shorten them.

We do not currently offer adjustment services on jewelry purchased elsewhere and are happy to recommend other local options.

How do I take care of my jewelry?
