Sun Scarab Necklace
The scarab beetle held deep significance for the ancient Egyptians, celebrated for its strength and its mysterious, cyclical life. Khepri, the god of the early morning sun with the head of a scarab, was believed to roll the sun across the sky each day, drawing inspiration from the beetles pushing dung balls through the sand. This connection to the sun symbolizes creation, life, and rebirth.
Our 14k Sun Scarab amulet captures the power of this sacred symbol, mounted with hidden brackets on a robust wheat chain—an ancient design renowned for its strength, woven to mimic a stalk of wheat.
The scarab’s design is based on a cherished antique soapstone Egyptian revival bead, passed down through generations. The original bead is displayed here alongside our Sun Scarab Ring.
