Inspired by the timeless look of Victorian pocket watch chains, our completely handmade Trombone Chain is crafted entirely in our studio from start to finish. We use solid 1.63mm wire-- never hollow-- to create individual oval links.

We chose a swiveling clasp for its association with pocket watch chains. This clasp is sometimes called a dog clip or Albert clasp. We love that it allows the chain to untwist while clipped; plus, it serves as a built-in charm holder. The wearer will find that the necklace is equally attractive no matter where the clasp is-- no need to hide it at the back of the neck.

Each chain is finished with a small pebble charm, stamped with our maker’s mark and metal purity. The solid gold version is distinguished by the additional ornament of a 2mm natural diamond; the other two metal options both feature a sterling silver pebble.

The weight of this chain is right in between our Long & Short chain and our Roma Link chain. (Goldilocks!)
