Libertad Necklace
This necklace features a vintage Argentine coin, showcasing the iconic Freedom Head Oudine adorned with a Phrygian cap on the front, and a grain sprig, cow's head, and the numeral "10" on the back.
I first discovered this unique coin at the San Telmo flea market in Buenos Aires years ago, where I was drawn to its rich history and worn charm. The coin already had a sizable, well-worn hole at the top—perhaps it had been cherished by someone before me. After wearing it for many years and receiving frequent inquiries, I decided to preserve its story. I carefully filled in the original hole, added a decorative bail, and then had it cast using the ancient lost wax technique to create this one-of-a-kind piece.
Libertad charm hangs between two beads on a 20" beaded curb chain.
